The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 1 Recap (with Spoilers!)

SPOILER ALERT - The latest season of The Bachelor kicked off on Monday night, and it premiered with it’s first black suitor. After 25 seasons, they finally woke up and cast Matt James, who has not been apart of the franchise at all. James has a white mother, and a black father - he also claims that he doesn’t like to be vulnerable. He seems like a really nice guy and could be one of the best so far. James did mention his apprehension about being the first black bachelor on the series - which is understandable. I feel that he must just be himself, as much as possible.

At the beginning of these shows (The Bachelorette included), there are so many contestants trying to win the bachelor’s heart, and honestly, I get very confused. All the ladies are really beautiful. As they all introduced themselves to Matt James, they got prettier and prettier. The antics and entrances were, for the most part, cute - cheesy but cute. Nothing like The Bachelorette entrances which can get wild. However, even after a whopping 2 hours of the show (which I think is so long for a TV show), I still don’t know half of the women. Although there were some that stood out. And I have detailed them below.

Bri

Bri could honestly be wifey material. I think she is gorgeous and smart. She was the first out of the limousine and stood out more than the rest. She’s stunning!

Victoria

Queen, 27

This woman was clearly casted and she is beyond annoying. She is the self professed Queen. I think not. She will stay around for ratings.

Abigail,

Beaverton, Oregon
Client Financial Manager, 25

Abigail also stood out and he was gobsmacked when he met her. She is deaf and lucky her, she received the first impression rose.

Kit

New York, New York
Fashion Entrepreneur, 21

Kit is heiress to the infamous designer Cynthia Rowley. She rocked up in a Bentley - talk about a flex. But you can tell she’s a snob.

Don’t ask me about the rest - they all blend into each other.
