Origins Launches in South Africa
The only way to describe this event: ethereal. When I get a call from Brand Alley PR, I oblige and this was no different. This was my first introduction to the luxury skin care brand. And you know they say first impressions last, this I will definitely not forget. From being ushered in fleets of new BMWs, guest from near and far met at the Palazzo Hotel and driven in style to Almost Orange in Hartebeespoort Damn.
Upon the arrival of what felt like a 10-minute drive, the restaurant was transformed into an oasis fit for Origins. A must in the African heat is a hat and we were gifted fedoras, a lovely touch. Pockets all over the venue to experience and be fully immersed in the product. And sitting down to be educated about Origins, it felt more like a family lunch with a carefully selected group of people; YouTubers, Beauty Editors, Travel Influencers, Mommy Bloggers, and more. Brand custodian, Lwandie Washington did the perfect icebreaker before sharing the most incredible facts about Origins’ promise for true sustainability, what action the brand has done in actively giving back to the earth and how the products are made from natural products. Origins have planted over 2,6 million trees since 2009 - which equates to 56X New York Central Parks…yes, let that sink in. We also had a chance to test, try, to smell the product, which was remarkable. I will definitely be adding the Origins Mega-Mushrooms Reselience Soothing Treatment, Origins GinZing Energizing Gel Cream, and the Origins VitaZing SPF15 Energy Boosting Moisturiser (This smells INCREDIBLE!) to my skincare routine. We were treated to a delicious lunch that had menu items that were sustainably sourced from the farm the restaurant is situated in, with elements of citrus-infused in our drinks and food. I would definitely suggest that you head over to your nearest skincare counter to try and test Origins, and I promise you, you will be sold. Make sure you’re subscribed to my YouTube Channel for the vlog, coming soon.
