Spotify #2020Wrapped

There are a couple of things that ring in the festive season for me; Thanksgiving Dinner which I generally do a Friendsgiving Dinner; Pumpkin Spice Lattes, used to also be the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and of course the Spotify Wrapped Results.

Spotify Wrapped is a global event where the music streaming service calculate what you spent your time listening to in the year. Your favourite artists, your throw back songs, your top songs you played; and the coolest thing about this, is that Spotify makes it easy to share to you various platforms. I remember the year that ”thank u, next” by Ariana Grande came out, and it was on all of my lists; I was surprised and I thought I listened to other music. This year I think I nailed my predictions, pretty accurately, however I thought I would have Chloe X Halle on there more.

This year for #2020Wrapped, Spotify has 6 new features:

  1. In App Quizes - Multiple choice to test your prediction skills

  2. The Story of your Top Song - how many times you streamed it, when you first listened to it

  3. A deep dive into your podcast listening

  4. Premium Members get crowned badges (I was awarded a Tastemaker!)

  5. New personlised playlists such as Missed Hits

  6. For those that don’t have Spotify, they can still see the global lists, so they have more FOMO.
