Public Figure premieres in Rosebank

There is no denying that the world of social media has changed and it has an impact on the world we live in today. “Public Figure” is a documentary explores just that, featuring the likes of Denzel Washington, fashion blogger Emma Rose, travel/food bloggers Greg & Rebecca Remmey, adventure photographer Emmett Sparling and our very own Bonang Matheba. Matheba sits the top of the list trumping her co-stars with over 2,7 million followers.

I am dying to see this in cinemas as this is my industry and truly fascinating the people behind the accounts. It’s also interesting to see how people have created businesses from social media which is a positive, but also the downfall of the addictive nature of the platforms. The film is finally making its way to Mzansi and you will have your chance to see it premiering this weekend June 15th, at Cinema Nouveau in Rosebank. There are two screenings at 19h30 & 20h30.
