Radisson Red Cape Town - #PlusIsEqual

Calling all my thick boys!! This one’s for you. Radisson Red in Cape Town is doing an open casting call to all the big boys. Launching the #PlusIsEqual campaign, the casting call hope to attract plus size men. “I want to see a person that looks like me on billboards and runways. I hope to inspire South Africans to see that a plus-size man’s body is beautiful and should be celebrated just the same.” says TJ Ngoma who is an actor, activist for body positivity and the spokesperson for the campaign. The #PlusIsEqual casting call will search for 12 male models that will be part of a fashion show as well as shoot for a new plus size range, from a secret designer.

We live in a world, where we are learning to embrace diversity and everyone for who they are in their own skin. For example, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show is dead leading into the birth of Savage X Fenty Show by Rihanna, with plus size models, trans models, all ethnicities and an eclectic mix of people on the runway. I feel like Radisson Red Cape Town is at the forefront of pushing the envelop and being one of the leading brands in supporting a campaign like this, which is amazing.
