Altitude Beach Club
Let me tell you, that there is nothing better than heading to a beach bar, on a hot summers day, you get greeted by the maître d' who already knows you by name, and escorts you to you to you day bed which has champagne and rosé on ice upon your arrival. You relax and you feel like something light to eat and the handsome waiter takes your sushi order. You are on a buzz and the music is picking up and you see some familiar faces arriving. While enjoying your delicious lunch with a view, and people coming up to the table to greet you, you are ready to get the day party started. Doesn’t that sound beautiful? That was Mykonos for me…and this happens all over the world, except for South Africa. Well, I can tell you now that you can have this experience and more at the new Altitude Beach Club opening 8th November.
“The climate in Johannesburg is consistent with the top cities in the world when it comes to warmer conditions. The time is now to bring the brand to our backyard. Traditionally Cape Town has played host to these kinds of venues but the 10-month outdoor friendly weather patterns were a no brainer for me.” Damian Michael, CEO of Altitude Beach Club & Champagne Bar
This will be Altitude’s second baby, as it’s predecessor resides in Menlyn. Even though, I’m not fond of getting to Fourways, I am familiar with the brand and what they want to achieve. But the looks of the menu, which in my opinion is well priced, you can enjoy your meal and head home, or you can make a day out of your experience with special packages on offer. As you know, I am very particular when it comes to food, service and experience - I’ll definitely book out one of the day villa’s for the day with the squad and I’ll let you know what I think.
