It really was a Moët Grand Day!
There are not a lot of events in the calendar that I attend, but the Moët Grand Day celebration is definitely one I never miss. The theme this year could’ve been one of my best themes of all time: Studio 54. I am obsessed with the era, the music and the fashion. Moët Grand Day was the it party to be at and all celebs, bloggers, Insta famous influencers and YouTubers from near and far came to sip on champagne. It was the 150th Celebration of the bubbly. The event was hosted by none other than my faves Boity & Maps Maponyane. Honestly, the nicest people you will ever meet. This year, the Michealangelo Hotel in Sandton was home to Moët Grand Day. Guests included, Tshepi Vundla who still looks so glam in a moon-boat, you couldn’t even see, and her sister Male Williams who I love to call Kourtney Kardashian - because everything about her, is. My friend and editor of GQ Magazine Yati Khumalo flew up from Cape Town to attend the party, and giving Billy Porter a run for his money was Sydney Mekgwe, in an arbic ensemble with a full on train. The night ended with DJ PH on the decks, and obviously he played that new Beyoncé track “Before I Let Go” as the epic Moët Moment was the 6 litre Moët & Chandon was poured for guests on the dance floor.
